Privacy Policy

Effective September 10, 2026

DC Builders of Cape Cod ("DC Builders", "we", "us") is a custom home builder and remodeler in East Falmouth, Massachusetts. This policy explains what information we collect when you use dcbuildersofcapecod.com, call us, or chat with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you fill out a contact, consultation, or newsletter form, chat with the "Ask Dave" assistant, email us, or call our main line, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, and details about your property and project (such as the town, the type of work, your timeline, and a budget range if you choose to share one).

Chat and phone assistants

The "Ask Dave" chat on this website is an automated assistant. Conversations are stored and reviewed by our team so a real person can follow up. Calls to (508) 388-5120 are answered by an automated receptionist that takes your message; calls may be transcribed and summarized so we can return them. Do not share sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers) through the chat or the automated receptionist.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device, and the page that led to a form submission or a phone tap). If we run online advertising, we may also use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools that set cookies to measure which ads bring people to the site and to show our ads to people who have visited. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, logs standard technical information such as IP address and browser type to keep the site secure.

How we use information

To respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and prepare an estimate.
To manage projects and warranty service for our clients.
To send the newsletter you signed up for. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
To understand and improve our website and marketing.

We do not send marketing text messages. If you give us a phone number, we may call you about your inquiry. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run the business, such as form delivery, our customer database, team messaging, scheduling, email, the chat and phone assistants, and analytics. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service. We may also share information when required by law or to protect our rights, and with your direction (for example, with your architect or lender).

Your choices

Email: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or contact us.
Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Access and deletion: contact us and we will provide, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep for completed work.

Retention and security

We keep inquiry information for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up, warranty, and legal purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service is perfectly secure.

Children

This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
